ILT Audit Exam Criteria
January 5, 2008 - 06:50
What criteria does your training department use for the ILT Audit Written Exam?
- Is the Audit exam intentionally written to be more difficult than what is expected for the NRC exam? Or, is the Audit written to closely reflect the difficulty expected on the NRC exam?
- What is the pass/fail criteria for the Audit Exam?
- What other criteria is used when determining if a candidate will be recommended to take the NRC exam?
- Who determines which candidates will be recommended? If the determination is made by a group of people, who has the final say? Who has the most influence on the decision- Instructors, Training Management, Plant Management, Operations Management, or Shift Operations?
- Do all aspects of the audit exam carry the same weight in the decision? For example, if a candidate fails the JPM portion is that viewed the same as a candidate failing the written?
- Which portion of the audit proves most troublesome?
- On recent classes, how have Audit Written Scores compared to actual NRC Exam Scores? (I am interested in recent data instead of the old rule of 5 points lower on the NRC exam.)
- How much time exists between the Audit exam and the NRC License Exam?
